金曜日《表現》にtone-deaf「音痴」が出てきました。ここで「音痴」に関連した表現や言い回しをいくつか挙げておきましょう。
1. I'm tone deaf, so it's embarrassing for me to sing in front of people.
→私は音痴だから人前で歌うのが恥ずかしい。
2. I have a terrible sense of direction.
→僕、ひどい方向音痴なんです。
3. I'm politically inept, so I have no interest in politics at all.
→僕は政治音痴だから、政治にはまるで興味がない。（inept「不向きの」）
4. I'm terrible with machines, so I can't use computers and fax machines well at all.
→僕は機械音痴だから、コンピューターとかファクスを使うのは全然だめなんだ。
