今週の英文チェック(復習56回)

今週の復習です。英語の筋トレに使用した英文を音声を聞きながら再チェックしましょう。音読も忘れずに!

《音読116回》
I'm sorry about your game.
You worked so hard.
But the other team did too.
I guess they got lucky.
You'll beat them next time.



《会話116回》
A: Did you get your car fixed after it broke down yesterday?
B: Sort of.
A: What happened?
B: We fixed the engine, but on the way home a tire blew out.



《作文116回》
◇Step 1
1. The party the other day was terrible.
2. Two people sat together, and they don't like each other.
3. They happened to begin arguing.
4. One of them almost lost his temper, so we separated them quickly.
5. If we had left them, it would have been disastrous.



◇Step 2
1. Our last drinking session was a mess.
2. These two guys who don't get along at all were seated together.
3. Some minor issue set them off and got them arguing.
4. One was so close to exploding we had to pull them apart in a hurry.
5. Things would have got pretty ugly if we hadn't.



《文法116回》
5. Your qualifications will be taken into consideration by the personnel department.
6. He was made to sign the contract he hadn't read.
7. The space shuttle is being readied for liftoff.
8. The work didn't get done on time.



《表現116回》
1. There really is such a thing as Internet addiction.
2. When the economy is this bad, it's like having the store open but not a customer in sight.
3. The trade imbalance needs to be redressed.
4. Even a bad shot hits the mark given enough tries.
5. That novelist is still very young, but he looks very intelligent and witty.
