A: It says here they're sending men to Mars.
B: What newspaper is that?
A: It's the World Enquirer. It says it's a secret plan.
B: That paper always says crazy things that aren't true.

B: それどこの新聞？
A: ワールド・エンクワイアラーだよ。極秘の計画なんだって。
B: その新聞はいつもとんでもないでたらめを書くのよ。

【解説】
この会話の中で使われているsay(s)は「書いてある」の意味。Mars「火星」。発音は「マーズ」。the World Enquirerは架空の雑誌名です。paper「新聞」、crazy「ばかげた、常識を欠いた」。

A: ゆっくりとした口調で話し始めます。saysの発音は「セズ」。menとMarsを強調。
B: thatを特に強調し、イントネーションを一旦上げてから下げます。
A: World Enquirerの発音ははっきりと。secretを特に強調しましょう。planは「プラン」ではなく伸ばすようにして「プラーン」。
