「誇大広告に騙されて、使い物にならない商品を買ってしまった」─ I fell for a misleading ad, and ended up buying a useless piece of junk.
misleading ad「人を惑わす広告」で「誇大広告」を表現。get taken in by a bait-and-switch scam「おとり販売詐欺に騙される」を使って、次のように言ってもいいでしょう。I got taken in by a bait-and-switch scam and ended up buying a useless piece of junk.
（例）「偽の広告に騙されるな」─ Don't be fooled by false advertising.
