《今日のFUP：759》阻止する
「政府はウイルスの進入を水際で阻止する方針である」─ The government plans to defend against that virus at the borders.
「水際」はborders「国境」で表現すればいいでしょう。defend against ～「～を阻止する」の代わりにkeep ～ out「～を締め出す」を使って、次のようにも言えます。The government's plan is to try to keep that virus out at the borders.
（例）「現代国家では国境を完全に封鎖することはとてもできない」─ No modern country can afford to seal its borders entirely.

「いつも決まった仕事だけしていればいいというものではない」─ Doing the same old work all the time isn't a good thing. / It's no good to just keep doing the same routine work all the time.
