《今日のFUP：447》さっぱり
「彼の話はさっぱりわからなかった」─ I didn’t understand a single word of his talk.
not understand a single word of ～ 「～が一言も理解できない」で「さっぱりわからない」を表現。have no idea ～ at all「全然～がわからない」を使って、I had no idea what he was just talking about at all.と言ってもいいでしょう。
（例）「僕の言ったことが少しはわかった？」─ Did you understand a single word I just said?
前回の復習
「内容の濃い講義でした」─ The class was dense with excellent content. / This was a class dense in quality content.
「素晴らしい内容が詰まっている（内容の濃い）」─ be dense with excellent content
「質の高い内容」─ quality content
「この本は内容が少し乏しいよね」─ This book is a little thin when it comes to content.
Extra Bit：「講義の内容についていくつかお聞きしたいことがあるのですが」─ I have some questions about the content of the lecture.
