「（ピザを食べて）焼き立てには劣るけど、でも、美味しいよ」─ It’s not as good as fresh-baked, but it is good.
fresh-bakedが「焼き立ての」に当たる形容詞。次のようにも言えます。It does taste good, although it's not as delicious as fresh-baked pizza.この場合のdoesはtasteを強調するために使われています。
（例）「焼き立てのマフィンが一番だね」─ There's nothing like fresh-baked muffins.
