FACT “the way down”_WebGL×The World’s Longest Music Videos by Smartphones

The band FACT is garnering much attention with two versions of a music video for the song “the way down” released on the album [KTHEAT] on March 4th 2015. One was released on YouTube, while the other was a smartphone only version, which used WebGL to add a number of 3D expressions, and there were points where the two interlocked. Having a smartphone-specific music video is itself already rare, we heard from the creators why they did things this way.

Although he is called an artist for his ability to bring his ideas into physical form, it is not as an artist that he puts food on the table. We focus in on the starting point of his creativity as “Making Things to Put Food on the Table.”

HAROSHI (artist)_“Energetic Sculpture” Born from Used Skateboards

Skillfully joining together the colorful layers of a laminated maple, then carving and scraping away to give birth to a variety of 3D works. In reality he creates works entirely from old skateboards that have fallen out of use, and as an artist HAROSHI breathes new life into these works as sculpture. Starting out as a jewelry designer, he has gone through a number of twists and turns over the years eventually settling getting the idea to express things through the skateboard culture he was close to in his teens. While developing his skill and style according to his own tastes, his current works are continuing to glide toward worldwide recognition. On the cover this month and in this article we display HAROSHI’s works.
