We asked him about key elements to realize a comfortable online shop operation from his unique perspective both as a Web creator and a shop owner.

Pepper_The World’s First Emotion-Recognition Robot which will Serve as a New Platform for Developers
Since its release in June from Softbank Mobile Corp., a robot “Pepper” has garnered much attention. With its Cloud-based AI loaded with numerous sensors and cameras, Pepper is the world’s very first robot to realize emotion recognition. The robot with such advanced features is set to be released on the market at a price lower than 200,000yen next February. What intrigues the readers of this magazine the most must be that a wide variety of applications will be released once the GUI-based development environment is prepared and developers are registered. For creators, who have developed Web, applications and game contents, this means the arrival of a completely new platform. ISHIKAWA Naoki walked from the North to the South Poles and scaled the highest mountain peaks of the seven continents at the age of 23, making him the world’s youngest person to do so at the of the feat. However, Ishikawa avowed from the beginning “I’m not an adventurer.” What he seeks for is neither to conquer pathless lands nor glory and the thrill he gains from it. It is rather his own “discovery” of the world through travels and photography both of which opened his eyes in boyhood. Driven by such a simple impulse, his expression is also the act of delineating a new world map based on his own experience.
