NURO DEVILMAN_Innovative Creatives Make a Novel Appealing

A campaign of So-net’s world fastest fiber-optic service “NURO Hikari” has garnered attention under the theme of “NURO DEVILMAN,” spawned from Nagai Go’s comic book “DEVILMAN.” Portrayed in the TV commercial are male and female NURO DEVILMEN standing in the streets of Tokyo, while the Website serializes the original novel to provide the user with the universe of the story. The world of the novel is also backed up by a bunch of creative ideas using images, music, and mobile letters, sparking a boom in popularity. We asked the production team why they employed such non-advertisement-like innovations.

Although the number of cinemas in Tokyo is much smaller than before, cinema houses in Tokyo are still alive and well, each of which sets out its individual character with programs that are suitable for its location and audience. Among them, “Shinbashi Bunka Theater” cuts a conspicuous figure. Originally a venue that screened double features centering on action and suspense films, the theater has recently gained prominence, offering unique lineups that garner support of even most astute film buffs. Behind this success is the theater’s assistant manager ENDO Kensuke.
